Description

This Great Depression activity includes brief overviews of nine New Deal "alphabet agencies" of FDR's New Deal. After reading and analyzing a graphic of each one, students match it to its more well known abbreviation and label it "relief, reform, or recovery" based on an included description of each.

After reviewing each agency and completing the chart, student create their own cartoon or poster to promote one of the New Deal alphabet agencies.

All information needed to complete the activity is included, as is an answer key for your convenience.

This download includes both printable and Google Docs versions of the activity! If you're in a paperless classroom or just want to integrate more digital resources, you can use the provided link to bring this resource into Google Classroom!

The Google Docs version features links to online resources about each event so students can research and determine the purpose of each New Deal agency!

This is a great lesson to be combined with a PowerPoint on The Great Depression and New Deal found here. Also, both products can also be downloaded as part of the larger Roaring 20's & Great Depression Resource Bundle which includes 11 fantastic discounted resources!
