This file contains two activities that allow students to practice identifying the Greatest Common Factor (Greatest Common Factor) when given two numbers.
•The first activity is a set of 24 number poke cards, in which the students poke their pencil through the hole in the card that they believe to be the Greatest Common Factor. They may check their answer by turning the card over, to see which answer is selected.
•The second activity is a set of 12 task cards in which students are asked to list factors of specific numbers. Students are also asked to identify patterns in sets of factors, so that they can identify other numbers with common factors. This is a higher-level activity, and really promotes creative thinking.
For best results, print on cardstock and laminate.
