This is a complete activity geared towards Greatest Common Factor (6.NS.4) that can be used as a complete lesson in your classroom. This contains a guided note sheet complete with an I Can Statement that are perfect for students who have trouble copying notes in their notebooks. These notes contain both numerical numbers as well as word problems where students must identify key terms. I teach my students finding Greatest Common Factor using a Venn Diagram but it can be altered to best fit the needs of your classroom and teaching style. This also contains two center ideas with sheets that can correspond where students will spin a spinner and roll dice to find the greatest common factor of two numbers. There is also a corresponding Exit Ticket and Homework sheet (9 problems) that are both word problems and regular numerical numbers.
My class thoroughly enjoyed this lesson and have done a great job with Greatest Common Factor throughout the year.
