Why just research ancient Greek City-States when your students can design their own?
This project will dive deep into the structure and function of a Greek City-State through stations that cover buildings and their purpose in ancient Greek life, types of government in ancient Greece, the role of the people in a city-state and the jobs they commonly held. Throughout these stations, students will travel up the levels of Bloom's as they identify structures and their purpose, examine the roles of men, women, slaves, citizens, and metics, design their own type of government, and justify which jobs would have been most important.
Finally, top it off with a one of a kind project foldable that allows students to apply their new knowledge as they design their own city-state and describe the features it includes. This project will knock the socks of off parents and administrators!
Included in this giant bundle are:
-Student directions for each station,
-Research to accompany each station,
-Directions for all foldables including those within each station and the design your own city-state project,
-Project Expectations, and
-Templates for tracing as necessary
This all-in-one City-State Project is sure to be a hit!
