This is a step by step activity in which students will be divided into the following Greek city-states: Athens, Mycenae, Sparta, Troy and Crete (Minoans). They will use maps, atlases and other resources to determine the natural resources, culture and physical features of their city-state. They will present this information, in poster format, to the other four groups. After, each group will determine what resources would be beneficial for their city-state to have such as copper or textile dye, and what resources they have to offer in return. They will create a trade offer for two different city-states. Each city-state will then analyze the offers and chose the one that is the most beneficial for their city-state.
