Description

Greek & Latin Roots & Affixes 10 Week Study DIGITAL Activities & Games Quarter 4

This is a complete 10 week morphology study of Greek & Latin word parts (prefix, suffix, and roots.) This resource includes everything needed to teach ten weeks of lessons: nine weeks of targeted lessons on affixes and roots and a review week. The activities are made in Google Slides.

This unit is organized by week. Each week includes:

  • student digital notebooks with each week's activities.
  • weekly word lists and definitions.
  • choice day with 3 suggestions (Any needed templates are included.) Example are Frayer model, writing sentences, etc.
  • Google Slides game.
  • Digital Practice Activity, such as synonym match, analogies, Secret Picture Tiles, etc.
  • Google Forms Test.

Each week features 1-2 word parts and 10 vocabulary words. These lists could easily be cut to fewer words.

Word parts covered in quarter 4 are:

  • dis-
  • fore-
  • super-
  • -ous, -ious
  • -ive
  • aud, dont/dent
  • com
  • voc/vok
  • fac

Week 10 is a review week.

In addition, I spiral previous words into the hands on activities in order to keep those words "fresh."

This unit was design with grades 4 - 5 in mind. It would also work well in grades 6-8, but I am not sure that it would work as well in 3rd grade.

PRINTABLE UNITS

Do you need printable units instead of digital? These lessons are also available in PDF format, with hands on activities. Check them out HERE.

SAVE $$$ WITH A BUNDLE

Units 1- 4 are available in a 40 week bundle. Buying the bundle save 20% over the cover price of each quarter. The bundle can be found HERE.
