INCLUDES 2 SETS OF 23 CARDS- TWO ACTIVITES IN ONE
Whole Class Active Listening Game to review and teach Greek and Latin Roots. The interaction in this activity provides a motivating and entertaining way for students to reinforce their knowledge of Greek and Latin roots.
This activity includes 46 cards(44 ROOTS) that students read and interactively answer. The game starts when a student reads the first card. The student who has the card with the answer reads his or her card. The game continues in this manner until the last card is read. The last card’s question loops back to the first card.
Students love this game. The first time around is always a little slow, but then I love to let them play two or three times and try to beat their time. ***Also, I do not directly teach all 33 roots and students are still able to play the game. They use reasoning and logic to figure out the answer.
Can also be played during center time with a smaller group of students.
Master list of roots, meanings and examples
2 Sets of "I Have, Who Has?" Cards (44 different roots)
