I've done a 3 page retelling of "Pandora's Box." It's an interesting one that mythically explains how evils and troubles came into the world. You get 4 cute black-and-white drawings and there are 18 multiple choice questions. These assess reading comprehension. Skills include: identifying causes-effects, locating details, making inferences, drawing conclusions, and using symbolism. The explicitly taught and tested vocabulary words are: primitive, origin, disposition, offend, harmony, absorbed, trifle, victim, and dismay. I patterned questions after those found on state standardized tests, so the lesson will also serve as a helpful test prep. An answer key is included.
