Product Description
As a treat at the end of our mythology unit, my students cover the Business Letter writing standard by writing a business letter in the voice of a Greek mythological character seeking a job (or something along those lines -- students have written as Helen requesting a body guard, the Trojan Wall wanting to work border control between the US and Mexico, etc.). We have fun with this assignment, it allows for a comprehensive review of all the characters we've studied, while still teaching good writing techniques.

This packet includes a guide to prewriting, a full-page assignment sheet with specific guidelines and requirements, a 60 point rubric, a teacher example, two student examples to be critiqued by the class, a two-page peer-review sheet, and handouts on letter and envelope formatting.
