PLEASE DON'T PURCHASE THIS for an earlier grade. It is too hard. I had someone buy it for 2nd grade even though it says it is too hard for that, and now I have a bad review!
This was a special request. This play is written at the 3rd/4th grade level. This play is funny, and it will keep their attention. Here is what the teacher said about the lesson, "Looks great! What a wonderful way to learn - it is impossible to find an actual lesson that goes with a play!"
There are 14 parts, including two short parts at 2nd grade level for those students in your class who are below grade level. Vocabulary activities include flashcards with picture, sentence and definition, worksheet where you find the sentence that contains the vocabulary word, fill in the blank, four square, and writing a sentence that describes the picture. There is a story element chart with defintions of story elements, such as setting, as well as a completed chart on the story elements in the play.
There are notes, worksheets and questions on character motivation in the play. This is a difficult idea. So, I broke it into baby steps.
