PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

After reading through several Greek myths together, I split my students into groups of seven in order to cover some of the "minor" myths. This can be modified to work in smaller groups of four as well. Everyone in the group was given a summary of one of the five myths (summaries were copied from mythology.com and are included in the unit). Group members are then given step by step directions, broken up by parts and days, on how to create a reality show modeled after their myth, which they presented to the class after working on it in class for three-four days.

The step by step directions, including explicit directions for each sub-group within the larger group, are given in the unit as well as summaries of the five myths - Pygmalion, Daedalus and Icarus, Eros/Cupid and Psyche, Tantalus, and Sisyphus, though this unit would work with any myth.
