Study guide for introduction to Greek Mythology. The introduction/background, Origins of Humans and Evil, and Dionysus questions are based on readings from Edith Hamilton's Mythology. The other myths are fairly universal so many sources will work. The myths included are: Creation of Universe (Gaea and Uranus / Cronus and Rhea),
Creation of Humans and Evil (Prometheus and Pandora), Athena (and Arachne), Demeter and Persephone, Hera, Hephaestus, and Aphrodite, Apollo, Dionysus, and Hermes. Also included is a Olympian chart which includes columns for Roman name, deity realm, and symbols. The last two of the study guide is a graphic organizer for the Greek values, concepts, and terms covered in the myths- such as hubris, the golden mean, epithet, etc.
*My intention with this study guide is for students to have a way to keep track of all the the different myths/characters; therefore, the questions are plot based, rather than critical thinking.
