PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Each slide contains the root in use and the meaning.
Example:
An astronaut is a person trained specifically for spaceflight.
Astronomy is the study of the material universe beyond earth’s atmosphere.
What do you think astron means?
Astron is the Greek word for star.
Early astronomers studied the heavens. Before telescopes and advances in technology, they could only observe things with their unaided eye. Stars, the sun (a star), and the moon were the only heavenly objects they could see. Without a telescope, space shuttles, and satellites giving us a closer look, even planets in our solar system resemble the stars.
Roots in PowerPoint: astron, bios, duo, ge, hydor, mega, mikros, monos, phileo, phone, phos/photo, poly, protos, psyche, tele, thermos, and tri.
