Description

Leverage the word-building power of Greek and Latin roots and affixes and turn your students into “Word Watchers.” This resource provides everything you need for a full-year’s study:

  • 36 posters, each featuring a different root, prefix, or suffix with examples
  • Print-ready bookmarks for student use

Use the posters-with definitions and examples-to focus on a different word part each week. Challenge students to find their own examples as they read throughout the week. Students record their examples on the bookmarks which also define and model the targeted root, prefix, or suffix with examples and non-examples (where applicable). There are 12-root word, 12-prefixes, and 12-suffixes for a well-rounded class word study. For a full list of roots and affixes, you can download the preview.

You can also read more about how I use it here.
