Want to extend your vocabulary instruction into your direct teaching station? Add this simple matching task.
Designed for 3-5 year old children with autism or intellectual delays, this simple matching tasks puts new vocabulary in front of students throughout the day. I usually use this matching task during direct teaching, either saying the word for nonverbal students or encouraging students who have some oral language to name the pictures.
Pictures/vocabulary included are: circle, heart, oval, rectangle, rhombus, square, star, triangle.
