This activity introduces through a reading sequence some of the contributing causes and consequences of global warming to the student. It also allows the student to compare the process to the workings of a greenhouse. The student will then complete a lab activity using common lab materials to simulate the process of global warming. Students will be required to complete a chart and a graph to analyze their results The 12 page activity culminates with 24 questions assessing information acquired from the lab activity and the prior reading. This activity has been correlated to the NGSS and Common Core Standards in Reading and Writings as well as mathematics. These standards are listed on the first page of the activity.
The answer key for the activity as well as the activity itself are contained in a zip file in both docx and pdf format.
