Students in primary grades should receive as much practice as possible bubbling griddables to simplify the transition to taking STAAR in 3rd grade.
While in 3rd grade, students will encounter three griddable questions (to the hundreds place) on the Texas STAAR Math Test.
Students must enter their answer in the correct columns with respect to place value to the tens place. Students must enter their answer in the boxes and then fill in the corresponding bubbles. Students do not have to use all the boxes. Extra zeros may be filled in (either before or after the answer) as long as their placement does not affect the value of the answer.
The griddables were hand created by the owner and included in this document to be cut and pasted with a Problem of the Day or used for practice in some other way. There are various sizes within the document to meet various needs, including a larger answer grid that can be used for teacher modeling.
*Just a note for assisting students in completing the answer grids: Students should view it as they would a place value chart.
