This is a supplemental set for the six small group lessons for 3-5 grief group from the West Virginia Department of Education School Counseling Curriculum.
These lessons and their accompanying goals are:
Keeping the Memory Alive: Students will learn group guidelines and identify a personal loss.
Mask of Many Colors: Students will name different feelings and relate them to their responses to the loss of their loved ones.
Lean On MeL Students will name different sources of support in their life that they can count on in order to help cope with the loss of a loved one.
Help Yourself: Students will identify coping strategies that will help them deal with feelings that arise from the death of a loved one.
Memories that Last: Students will focus on recalling some of their memories of their loved one.
Ties that Bind Us:Students will focus on recalling some of their memories of their loved one.
