Real-world math at its best! This product teaches budgeting and application of math skills, as students consult grocery flyers to make weekly grocery lists. I use this activity as an ongoing math station in my classroom, but it can also be used as a one-time unit.
Just collect those free weekly grocery flyers from your mailbox, and you're all set!
Included in this unit are worksheets for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and non-grocery items. A final worksheet has students total their lists, compare amounts, find differences and use the dollar-up method (which can be modified if you don't use this in your classroom).
