These worksheets are meant to help students determine if they have enough money before paying at the store. Students are given 10 items per page in different combinations along with different amounts of money they have to pay with. Students must add up items, figure sales tax, and then determine if they have enough money to pay. It is meant for any student working on practical math for real life applications like the grocery store. It is targeted specifically for Life Skills or Special Education students. It also teaches students how to round to the nearest cent (useful for figuring sales tax). This has been a life saver in my classroom to help teach a crucial shopping skill.
This is a differentiated material. If rounding is too hard for your students to the nearest cent there is a modified version at the end of all the worksheets where the sales tax is already given to them.
