Most of the activities I create are interactive assignments via Power Point or Google Slides. I find that students are more engaged because a) technology and b) they don't have to write.
This particular assignment requires students to read the sight word, write the word, and use it in a sentence before they google search a related picture and paste it into the slide. For my lower functioning kiddos, I insert the picture first and just ask them to do the first parts.
The beauty of this assignment is that it gives you (the teacher) the ability to differentiate based on your students ability level. Some of my students are capable of writing more, so I ask them to write me a paragraph instead of a sentence, etc.
