Groundhog Day Activities include:
1 Reading Passage
10 Multiple Choice Questions
1 Fact or Opinion Activity
1 Matching Activity
1 Opinion Writing Activity
These are all NO PREP activities. You just print and go! Students read about the significance of Groundhog Day, different pet names some places call the groundhog, the countries that celebrate Groundhog Day, when it's celebrated, and different activitites people do on that day.
They also answer multiple choice questions about the passage, complete a quick fact and opinion handout where they circle either fact or opinion based on the statement, and then complete a matching activity where they match the groundhog name with the city, country, or state that it's known as. For example, the groundhog is known as Buckeye Chuck in Ohio.
The last activity gives students the opportunity to practice their writing skills when they create an opinion writing piece based on the prompt. Complete all the activities or just a few.
These are true NO PREP activites for Groundhog Day! Print and Go!
