No prep. No paper. No materials. This is a totally digital breakout.
Students will have fun and work on the four Cs (collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.) They will have to think outside the box and work together to find the clues for the five locks. A great activity to engage students while having fun.
I hope your students will enjoy working through this digital breakout. This breakout focuses on Groundhog Day. Students will be introduced to the history of the Groundhog Day and various facts about Groundhog Day as they investigate and explore the various videos, articles, and interactive Google slides.
Your students will discover links to interactive worksheets which they need to solve to find the keys to each of five different locks. This breakout will take approximately 40 minutes depending on the level of your group. Some may finish sooner and others may not finish completely. No matter how far they get, they will all be challenged and have fun at the same time.
Teacher and students need a free Google account to be able to make copies of the Google forms and slides. Be sure your district has not blocked Google.
**This breakout also includes a puzzle made with jigsawplanet.com. Be sure your district has not blocked this website.
Instructions, answer key and hint cards are included.
