What's in this download?

• 22 short passages discussing Groundhog Day along with 1-3 corresponding critical thinking questions per passage. Students can read passages independently (silent or aloud) OR- for non readers- they can be read aloud by the teacher or therapist. {Can be used as a great listening comprehension activity!}
  *** Questions require readers to use skills ranging from simple recall, comparing and making personal connections to deciphering vocabulary in context, drawing conclusions, giving opinions and justifying responses. A whole range of critical thinking skills can be applied.

• A 2-page board game along with instruction

Passages can be used along with individual students, used for partner reading, or used for group discussion. Read passages aloud to turn this into a listening comprehension activity. Cards can be incorporated into the various games described in the 8 page download.

Prep couldn't be easier - Just print, (laminate if you wish) & cut passages if desired. Assembling the board game is a breeze.
