This little freebie will give your students some practice reading words often associated with Groundhog Day, while having fun at the same time.
Each player chooses a different color crayon to use. Player #1 rolls the die and reads aloud a word from that column. If the player reads the word correctly, the player will color the box containing that word. If the player is incorrect, the turn is over. Player #2 continues in the same manner. (If there are no boxes left in that column to be colored, the player loses a turn.) Continue playing until all of the boxes are colored in. The player with the most boxes wins! Don’t forget to color the winner’s star!
So.... simply grab 2 different color crayons and 1 die and let the fun begin!
Don’t forget to check out the other Pick-A-Box word games in my store.
