This passage was written with 4th graders in mind, but it can be used with more advanced third graders or weaker fifth grade readers. Please use your best judgement.
This pack includes a one page reading passage that should help students better understand some fun facts dealing with Groundhogs and Groundhog Day.
In addition to the passage, there are 7 questions. One is on the definition of tradition, one is on the difference in what happens if the Groundhog sees his shadow versus him not, and then there are 5 other questions.
An answer key is also provided.
