This resource contains a fun, creative writing activity. You can use this in the classroom or for homework. It is aligned with Common Core's narrative writing requirements.

In this activity, students will create a main character who is a groundhog. Students will come up with a creative name and setting. Students will have to think of a problem faced by the groundhog and come up with several failed attempts at solving the problem. Students will then have to come up with a successful solution to the problem.
