Description
This mini packet includes 3 different versions of the Groundhog’s Day craft. Each craftivity includes a writing prompt in both primary and secondary lines as well as a full page and half page.
Option #1: {Groundhog Craftivity} after discussing facts about groundhogs, your students could complete the groundhog craft and use the “Groundhogs” writing prompt. Example of the Groundhog Craft is on page 3. You will only use pages 6 – 11 to complete the craft. Corresponding writing prompt is on pages 22 – 25.
Option #2: {Winter Groundhog Craftivity} after having your class predict whether or not the groundhog will see his shadow, the students that predict 6 more weeks of winter {the groundhog sees his shadow} can complete this craftivity and writing prompt. Example of the Winter Groundhog Craft is on page 4. You will use pages 6 – 12 to complete the craft. Corresponding writing prompt is on pages 14 – 17.
Option #3: {Spring Groundhog Craftivity} after having your class predict whether or not the groundhog will see his shadow, the students that predict spring {the groundhog does not see his shadow} can complete this craftivity and writing prompt. Example of the Spring Groundhog Craft is on page 5. You will use pages 6-11 and page 13 to complete the craft. Corresponding writing prompt is on pages 18 – 21.
