Product Description
Add this cute writing activity to your list for this upcoming Groundhog's day! It is a simple, cute writing activity that your students will love! Makes a fun display and your students will WANT to write!

There are two pages to choose from. One groundhog has a sign that says "More Winter!" and the other says "Welcome Spring!".

This prompt can be used in a couple of ways.
You could use it before the holiday and have your students complete an opinion piece on if they want more winter or are ready for spring. Make copies of each so your students can choose!
You can also do it on the day of the holiday. Once you find out the news on Groundhog Day, students can write on the template representing the groundhog''s decision. The students can write about what they learned, what happened, about the groundhog's prediction! So many options! Either way, this makes a cute display too!

To display, have students cut out as one WHOLE piece after writing and coloring. Glue it on a sheet on construction paper and TA-DA--hallway ready!

Have students that need more lines? I included a template page that has extra lines. You can attach the second page of writing in two ways. You can simply have students glue the two sheets into a longer sheet and add a second piece of construction paper as a backing.
You can also it into a flipbook style display by gluing the second page behind the first page by only putting glue at the top to attach the two pages. Then glue the back page down to the sheet of construction paper. Only one sheet of construction paper is needed this way.
I added a box on the second page so your students know where the glue goes when attaching. :)

I truly hope that this product helps you and your students! Happy Groundhog Day!
