Need an engaging and fun activity to help your students learn and focus during February? Groundhog Hide and Seek allows students to practice important skills and concepts in a fun game format.

This set includes cards that are already programmed with alphabet letters, CVC words, 2D/3D shapes, and pre-primer sight words. Wanting to practice vocabulary, names, or different words then use the editable slides.

This game can be played whole class, in small groups, as a partner game, or in a literacy/math station. Place the groundhog cards you would like to practice in a pocket chart. Hide the shadow/no shadow cards behind the groundhog cards and you are ready to play. Hide one card to make the game go faster or three to allow for more time. One student chooses a groundhog card and reads the words, names, the letter, etc. After they look behind the card for the weather card. Other students can watch or write the word, draw the shape, or write the letter on a dry erase board to increase engagement.

The editable version is included in color and black and white.

**Please note that you MUST open the file using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Reader is available as a free download.

This is also available in the Hide and Seek Bundle at a discounted price.
