Product Description
Help your students work together with eight different activities to teach them about communication, identifying their strengths, asking questions and solving problems collectively. The activities require minimal preparation (usually printing pages) and range from 5-60 minutes to complete. They can be done in any order and make a perfect start for back to school. Easy modifications are included for all your students' needs.

Lessons are written with Canadian spellings, but all student pages come in Canadian/British and American spellings.

The activities are:
What Do We Have in Common?: Group members look for similarities through answering simple questions.
All Aboard!: Students solve a problem about getting all the group members standing on a single object.
Two Sides to the Story: Students follow the same directions and compare the different results.
The Students are the Experts: Students identify their strengths and talents. This activity comes with editable pages to make records to keep in your classroom for future reference.
The All-Around Class: A simple art activity creating one class art project.
Peek and Do: Students practice communication by asking and answering questions to create a common object.
Hip to Be Square: Students use their observational abilities to replicate a classroom scene.
Choose Your Own Challenge: Students work cooperatively to create a problem solving challenge for the class.

All of these lessons have been classroom tested with fourth-sixth graders. This is everything we did with my class last year and the kids loved it! We used the Hip to Be Square activity as a brain break throughout the year. Some of these activities became staples in our routines.
