This is a "group activity" on the Tissue level of organization. It is meant to introduce this level of organization with respect to Anatomy and Physiology students as the focus is on human tissues.
There are 5 models for students to look at and answer questions.
I created these activities after attending a POGIL workshop in 2009. Pogil lessons are a great way for students to work together in small groups to observe, think, and answer questions. Studies have shown that using Pogil lessons increases student retention of the material.
I have other "Group Activity" lessons available for Macromolecules, Cellular Level, Tissue Level, Integumentary System, Skeletal System, and Muscular System.
**I was asked by the POGIL Project not to call these items "POGILs" due to copyright/trademark issues...so they are now called "Group Activities." Many customers have used these as preview to new material, review of taught material, and even sub plans, so please use them however you see fit : )
