Students are in groups of 4 or less with a small whiteboard. They are told they must race to identify what creature they discovered in an archaeological dig. Give each group clue 1 and when they claim they solved it, you choose a group member to explain the solution. If they get it right, you give them clue 2. The group to solve all 6 clues and identify what organism was discovered, wins. This activity is a great review to do that connects multiple units and forces students to problem solve.
