PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Description:
This lesson truly helps the Bill of Rights come alive! Students will work in groups of three to write, direct and perform a skit that focuses on what daily life would be like if the Bill of Rights did NOT exist! It's a really fun way to apply critical thinking skills and creativity to the topic of guaranteed rights in the United States. Students will choose one of three possible roles (researcher, playwright or director) and will focus on three amendments from the Bill of Rights.

Included in the Product:
✓ Introduction to the skit
✓ A description of the responsibilities of each student role
✓ Nine steps to follow to complete the project
✓ Rubric
✓ Two-page student viewing handout
✓ Reflection page

Handouts are fully editable to meet the needs of your classroom, students and teaching style. My students loved this group activity and I know that yours will also!
