This rubric is used to provide structured feedback to students working on a group activity. It is useful for inquiry-based or "workshop" style lessons, where students have a period of time to work in small groups, followed by a share-out or discussion period. It matches well with our free Workshop Lesson Plan Template.
The rubric is divided into three sections: process (how well students work as a team), product (the artifact created), and presentation (the sharing of their work with the class). Each section has 4-5 indicators, and groups can be rated as "Great," "Good," or "Not Yet."
According to some definitions this is not "technically" a rubric as it does not provide examples for each level of proficiency. However, we felt that it was not necessary to create length descriptions for each level of "You listened to each other." Instead we prioritized ease of use and student-friendly language in constructing this resource.
