These Valentine’s grouping cards are the perfect practice cards for teaching high kindergarteners, 1st graders and remediation students how to count and group a collection of items into groups of 10 up to 100. They may easily be added to a center or utilized for early finishers who need something engaging to do. Just copy, laminate, cut, and place in a center. You may also use directly on your whiteboard as whole group practice.
The cards can be self-checking by the learner, using a magnifying glass to spot the hidden answer or using the answer key card that is included. Also contained within is a work mat to sort and count into groups of 10 beans, beads, toothpicks or various small items. The mat also works well for 100th Day of School counting activities.
There are blackline copies of all cards. The first 11 cards start with groups less than 50 items to build stamina. Additionally, there are 11 more cards that you can count close to 100 items.
