Growing A Word Garden (CVC Words): Part 1
Games, Literacy Stations, and Activities For CVC Words
At this time of year primary students need to be able to blend sounds together to make cvc words. How do we accomplish this before the year is over?
This is the first part of a huge packet which slowly introduces 25 cvc words through a variety of "hands on" games, activities, and literacy stations. As students become familiar with these words they begin to gain confidence and fluency. These can be done during small group instruction to add a little "spice" to your reading program! they are both engaging and interactive.
This packet is also ideal for intervention programs since it is systematic in design. Suggestions for differentiation are also available. Blank templates allow you to add other words.
Are you willing to give it a try?
Here is what I have included:
1. Potted Plant Puzzles
2. Blooming Lotto boards
