A great reader's response to the story, "Growing Vegetable Soup." This worksheet asks students to think about the genre of the text and specifically examines realistic fiction and fantasy. Students are tasked with coming up with an imaginative response to the story by creating a special tree that has never been seen before. Perhaps it will be a tree made of cupcakes, ice cream, or even money.
