It's important to incorporate Growth Mindset lessons and activities into the first few weeks of school. These activities are meant to supplement texts and classroom discussions on accepting failures as learning opportunities.
Included in this file are:
1. Growth mindset 8.5 x11 poster - You can copy one for each student to keep in their binders. Refer to it often, especially when students are feeling discouraged.
2. Fill in the blank - Students will read the fixed mindset statement and try to match it with an alternative statement. You will need to have the growth mindset statements posted for them to see.
3. Large print statements. Print and cut them out. I glue the fixed mindset statements to butcher paper. Hand groups of students the growth mindset statements and see if they can match them up. Keep finished poster up all year long!
