Encourage a growth mindset and perseverance in your classroom using relaxing coloring posters that your students will love!!
This freebie is a sample of my Growth Mindset Coloring Bundle with 18 quotes.
This freebie includes a famous quote from Thomas Edison- "I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." You will receive 3 pdf coloring files:
1- 8x10" size coloring page that prints on regular old printer paper.
2- a journal page with the coloring image and then lines underneath for a journal prompt.
3- an 18x24" pdf file that is perfect for uploading to Staples Print Service and getting made into an engineering print for $2! I've included instructions for you.
I teach one quote each week for the first semester of school. We talk about the speaker, discuss what situations may have led to their wise words, and then students write on their journal page what the quote means to them. Throughout the week, early finishers color in the large poster and we add it to our classroom
motivation wall.

Each quote is included as a:
***18"x24" high-quality pdf file. This is the perfect size for printing as an engineering print at Staples for less than $2 a poster! (Instructions on how to get your posters printed are included.) In my classroom I use these large prints as an early finisher activity called "Community Coloring." Students also love to do community coloring as a back to school, get-to-know-you, team building activity. My kids take so much ownership of our classroom when they have a hand in putting together the decor.
***Personal coloring pages. Each quote is set to print on a standard piece of copy paper. These files will result in an 8x10 print of the quote. Students can choose favorites and display their meaningful work in a frame if they wish.
***Growth mindset journal- each of the 18 quotes gets its own journal page with the coloring section on top and lines on the bottom. An idea list for how to use the journal pages is included in the download.
