ELA Project-Based Learning for 4th 5th 6th. This print + digital PBL activity is perfect for teachers that want to teach about growth mindset! I use this the first weeks of school to create a mindset change in our school. This is great in conjunction with character education! Your students will learn about and apply writing skills, collaboration, and more during this PBL. It includes text about growth mindset and 5-10 days of activities. A pacing calendar is included, but it's flexible in order to be easily molded to your classroom and school.

I suggest allowing for at least 5 days to complete this project-based learning activity.

Driving Question: D.Q.: How can we create a school culture where students have a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset?

Your class has been tasked with learning about growth mindset and evaluating their own mindsets. They will then work in groups with an assigned classroom to collect data about the mindset of those students. They will use the data to create presentations targeted to their exact audience's needs. Their goal is to present growth mindset to their assigned classroom in an engaging, interactive way.

A page is also included to explain each element of project-based learning and how this is incorporated into the project.
