Looking for a fun way to teach Growth Mindset with your students? How about with a fun game? I have incorporated the "Headband" game with this content to create a fun and creative way to teach Growth Mindset with your students. I have the students make a paper headband out of a sentence strip or any paper 2" strip that you cut. Then I have them choose a person to research who shows strong determination and exhibits the spirit of the growth mindset. I then have them draw pictures and write quotes on a 3x5 notecard that exemplify that person's character. I then collect all the notecards. I then pass out the notecards making sure not to give them their own notecard. They then clip an unknown notecard onto their headband. They take turns in groups trying to guess who the person is on their classmates' headbands. One student starts at a time. They ask yes and no questions about their person. For example, "Is it a boy?" "Was he a president?" "Did this person...." They continue this one at a time until they guess the person on their own headband. It is so much fun and a great way to emphasize the growth mindset in discussion afterwards! I know your students will love it just like mine did! Please be sure to let me know!
