These growth mindset posters and cards are perfect for getting your students in a ready-to-learn mindset as the students transition out of summer and back to school! Hang these posters in your room, use them as coloring pages (for early finishers, room decor) or let students make and keep for themselves (on their desks/ notebooks for encouragement, etc).
This Poster Set #1 is part of the Growth Mindset bundle (the bundle has 24 quotes total - available in poster size AND smaller card size, color and b&w!) This poster set includes an intro about growth mindset, a list of ideas for using these in the classroom and the following 12 posters, in both color and black and white (table of contents included!):
The secret to gettting ahead is getting started
I can learn from my mistakes
The more I try the more my brain grows
I can learn anything I want to
My brain can grow!
I get smarter when I practice
I can do hard things!
I can’t do it...yet!
Challenges make me stronger
Whether you think you can or think you can’t you’re right
Every mistake I make is progress
I never lose...either I win or I learn

What is a growth mindset, exactly? It means that you believe your skills and abilities will continue to improve with work, practice and perseverance. This will help your students face tough challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and be open to learning. Compare this to a fixed mindset, which means you believe your skills/ abilities are something you are born with - you either have them or you don’t.
Fixed mindset: “I’m not good at math. I can’t do this. I’ll never get it.”
Growth mindset alternative: “I don’t understand this yet. If I keep trying, I will get it.”
As a social worker in two elementary schools, I am always working with my students to develop a growth mindset to help them be open and motivated to learn. I LOVE getting to create these designs for you - and hope you and your students love them, too!
Thanks and love!
