Here are two sets of growth mindset cards:
Set One: Student Directed Feedback Statements. 40 Statements
To foster a growth mindset in our classrooms, we first need to change the way we praise. I knew I needed a tool to help me change the feedback, praise, and support I was giving my students, so I created this set of cards. All you have to do is laminate these, cut them out, hole punch the corner, and put them on a ring. Then they are ready for use!
Set Two: Growth Mindset Growing Questions. 36 Questions
This is a set of questions that can be placed on the board or discussed. I use these once a week in what I call our, “Meeting with Growth Mindset in Mind” meeting. I call all the students to the carpet and show them the question. I then give them thinking time and have them pair and share with a partner. Then, we have a discussion about it. This is usually 10-15 minutes. I have found that it has really helped foster growth mindset in the classroom. Just laminate, cut, and use!
A recording sheet has also been provided as a different tool to use with these questions if you would like to make it an exit ticket or use as a writing activity/ in a center.
