Teaching children the basic premise of a GROWTH MINDSET at an early age is necessary. So many of our kids think their intelligence is fixed and what they can or cannot do is their destiny. Teaching children that with effort and persistence, almost anything is possible, will reinforce the idea that they can learn many things. Instead of
giving answers, we can give rewards for trying and making mistakes, therefore encouraging the GROWTH MINDSET. This story gives children the basic information they need about our brains, at an easy to understand level. Research shows that if kids understand how the brain works, they can be empowered to do great things, increase their neuronal connections and thereby increase their intelligence! At the end of the story is a check for comprehension - kids decide if the sentence is fixed or growth mindset.
