Product Description
Using the growth mindset approach is a wonderful way to teach your middle and high school students about the role they play in their own learning! Use it at the beginning of the year to teach growth mindset, as part of a social skills or counseling group or in small groups/individual therapy sessions. I use this pdf as a teaching tool on my smart board and I pad but you can also print off a hard copy! Here's what you will receive:

A 13 page teaching story called, "James trains his brain," about a student with learning difficulties. He becomes frustrated with school and his friend, Sophie teaches him about growth mindset, including the value of making mistakes, evaluating your effort, using positive self-talk and taking control of your learning by using strategies.

Also included are three tiers of activities:
Growth or Fixed Mindset Sorting Activity (one set text only and one set with pictures),
Tiered worksheets about growth mindset as described below:
*What makes my brain grow (drawing activity)?
"What makes my brain grow (writing activity)?
"From never to not yet" (match fixed mindset sentences to their growth mindset match) and answer key,
"From never to not yet" Change the sentences from fixed to growth and answer key,
Growth mindset vocabulary flip flap (antonyms/synonyms) 3 versions,
Growth mindset worksheet (antonyms and synonyms),
Growth mindset worksheet: James trains his brain, self-talk & answer key,
