How do we foster a growth mindset about math with our students? Sometimes students believe that only certain people have a “math brain” and that those students are just naturally good at math.
This Growth Mindset in Math activity encourages students to confront their beliefs about math. Using a four corners activity students will share their opinions about “math brains” and hear the opinions of others. An exit ticket will serve as a reflection and as a formative assessment so students can share their learning.
