To become familiar with the locations of major producing areas for manufactured goods, agricultural products, and raw materials.

TIME:
1 class period

In this exciting lesson, students enjoy playing a game where they pretend to be a businessperson who has decided to invest in the factories, farms, and mines which produce America’s manufactured goods, agricultural products, and raw materials. Each class member is loaned $300 million by the bank and there are 10 investment rounds.

SPECIAL NOTE:
It is always enjoyable for me to see the kids' faces light up when they learn that they will all be multi-millionaires during the playing of this game.
