To become familiar with the locations of major producing areas for manufactured goods, agricultural products, and raw materials.
1 class period
In this exciting lesson, students enjoy playing a game where they pretend to be a businessperson who has decided to invest in the factories, farms, and mines which produce America’s manufactured goods, agricultural products, and raw materials. Each class member is loaned $300 million by the bank and there are 10 investment rounds.
It is always enjoyable for me to see the kids' faces light up when they learn that they will all be multi-millionaires during the playing of this game.
Full Game Rules are provided on the lesson pages.
