This 42 slide power point talks about the growth of Colonial America. It reviews some information from the "Formation of Colonial America" slides as well as gives some new information. It talks about the different economies of the North, Middle and Southern colonies with a focus on the southern colonies, plantations, the Middle Passage and slavery. It talks about the role of women in the colonies, the growth of small towns and big cities. It also focuses on Benjamin Franklin and although never a president to the U.S., it shows his contributions. It ends with the new ideas in the colonies that influenced their decision making such as the Great Awakening and the Enlightenment and ends with the Navigation Acts and the crowning of King George III to England.
