This is the first part of the notes for the teacher from my manual on the conventions of writing. Here are the basic marking checklists for this book. You can change the values as you wish to weight them toward what you are teaching. I chose these values to help the student see that what he says is considered more important than how he says it. I recommend sharing the list first with the student and letting him re-write. The chapters of this manual are based on this list of skills.
